Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Your files never leave your device. Not one byte.

PDF One has no servers that receive documents. Every PDF and image you open is processed in your browser's memory and saved directly back to your device. We never see, collect or store your files or their contents.

Who we are

PDF One (pdfone.app) is made and operated by Biosystems One Inc. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Biosystems One Inc.

Your documents

The editor (app.html) runs entirely in your browser and works offline. A strict Content Security Policy instructs your browser to block the editor page from connecting to any server other than PDF One's own files, so your documents cannot be transmitted. If you use the camera scanner, the camera feed is processed on your device and is never recorded or sent anywhere.

The editor stores a few things on your device only: your light/dark theme and ad choice (browser local storage) and the text-recognition language model (browser IndexedDB), so OCR works offline.

Advertising in the editor

PDF One is free because the editor shows ads from Google AdSense. Ads are loaded in a separate, sandboxed frame that runs in its own isolated origin: it cannot read the editor page, its canvas or any document you open. The ad frame is the only part of PDF One that connects to outside servers, and it is not loaded at all while you are offline. The home page and this page have no ads.

The first time you open the editor, we ask whether you allow personalized ads. If you choose basic ads only, we ask Google to show non-personalized ads. Either way, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies inside the ad frame to serve, limit and measure ads. Learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. To change your choice in PDF One, clear this site's data in your browser.

What we collect

Nothing about your documents, ever. PDF One has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics of its own. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page with a new date. The promise that your files never leave your device will not change.
